Market Common Dentistry is hands down the best dental office I have ever been to. I am petrified of thebdentist so I love how kind and concerned they are about that fear with me. I have had 2 procedures done so far, one a root canal with a cap and an emergency visit for a badly broken tooth that caused a lot of pain.The staff were incredibly compassionate towards me and my anxiousness on both visits, the root canal and cap was a process but market common made it as smooth and painless as possible and the broken tooth is being repaired in 2 days. Thank you all for making something so difficult for me a thousand times easier. More

When I first moved to the area. I needed a permanent dental bridge put in, the other dentist that was practicing there did it, who is no longer there, not Dr. Mills. Anyhow it broke a lil less than 3 years later. Went back in and Dr. Mills did the honorable thing and made me a new bridge at no additional cost to me. That is the correct way to do business and much appreciated by me. Dr. Mills is the best. I have worked in the medical field for many years and this is the right way to treat patients. More

I felt that they were all about money and my first visit for a general cleaning turned into 50 X-rays and cleaning methods that weren’t explained to me. The cost was exorbitant, almost $500. and then they took another $100. out of my credit card for future work, which I made them refund. I was going to give them another try because I was having a problem with a tooth that they recommended I should have a crown. I made an appointment, and the day before my appointment, they called me and said they gave my appointment slot away because they thought I was looking for a PPO group and they didn’t participate in my insurance. I told them I was worried that I might have an infection, and they told me they would call if something opened up. They never did call and I found reputable new dentist, whom I very pleased with. More

Best dentist ever. Cheaper than most I’ve been to. Super caring. Got me in same day for emergency broken tooth. They even gave my nervous self a blanket. It’s the small things that make a rough situation bearable and they went above and beyond. Will definitely be my dentist from now on. More

Sadly I have terrible teeth both genetically and as a result of a disease I suffer from called Gastroparesis that causes much vomiting. So I have had much dental work in my life and this practice is an A+Care, skill, newest technologies you get it it all at this practice. So from a cleaning or a routine cavity to an implant or sleep apnea device you will not go wrong here. More

I have a 30 year fear of going to the dentist, And I was 100% comfortable with Dr. Mills. He was kind compassionate and understanding of my fears. He also took the time to really listen but not only to listen but hear what I was saying to understand where those fears came from.The staff there was very friendly and accommodating as well. I really hate to go to the dentist & because of this fear, it has been at least 10 years since I’ve seen one. I’ve recently started having some major issues & had to make myself go in for treatment. The whole staff was awesome! From the time I entered the building I was treated with the utmost respect. So I am full timing in my RV all over the country and want to make sure I keep up with my pearly whites ;D... Well after looking all over the Myrtle Beach area I found Market Common Dentistry. Amanda was very patient and helpful in getting me into an appointment last minute before I left South Carolina. So much so that she called me back and moved my original appointment a few weeks out to the very next day! The day of my appointment I walked in and was greeted by Diane and Amanda who were welcoming and awesome. The office is really nice clean and put together. After a few minutes Christine my Hygienist came out to get me and brought me back to handle my cleaning. She was personable professional and on top of her game. I asked for a waterpik (which by the way is awesome) she didn't hesitate and said no problem. I have been to other establishments and they acted like it was a pain in the butt to break those out but for Christine and Market Common, it was no big deal :D. After the quick but thorough cleaning Dr. Latvis came in to check everything out including some other concerns I had. He was super patient, warm and I didn't feel rushed at all as he answered all my questions. After that Christine walked me out giving me some gnarly swag along the way including a sticker and toothbrush/toothpaste. At that point Diane took my payment and made sure I was happy and set up for the next city I'm in. (Also Carla checked if I had Insurance lol) This place is perfect if you're a resident here or just passing through, A+++ More

I’ve never had a bad experience here. As soon as you walk through the door they welcome you by name. They are very patient and kind. I am very nervous when I go to the dentist, but as soon as you get in the chair the nurses make you feel very comfortable and Dr. Mills will make you laugh. Dr. Mills has a great personality. Highly recommend Dr.Mills at Market Common Dentistry . I have severe anxiety and dental phobia . He put my mind at ease from the very first appt. Went in for my procedure( filling and cleaning) and was given a concoction of meds to help me relax. I would otherwise hyperventilate and have a panic attack. I can’t tell you what happened after that as I don’t remember and that’s how I like it . So 5/5 stars for sure. More

While traveling thru in our motorhome, I had a crown come off. I found Market Common Dentistry on Google. They got me in as soon as they had an opening. Then they called back and moved the appt. up as I had requested if possible. There online signin procedures were easy and efficient. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Christine is a fabulous dental hygienist. Am NOT a fan of going-to-the-dentist (after having to have ALL my baby teeth pulled as a child; then, a decade+ of orthodontia and fillings (since we had no fluoride on our water, i.e. deemed a Communist conspiracy in the '50s); then on to several decades of periodontal treatments/root canals/crowns and (elective) veneers...aside from wisdom teeth extractions.I swear, I have spent a large part of my life in a dental chair. (I have financed, I conjecture, the sailboats and antique collections of previous dentists) Thus, I have deep-rooted disquietude whenever I have to go to the dentist.That being said, although I still do not wake up w. a spring-in-my-step on days when I have a dental appt, Christine and Dr. Mills do their very best to make my visits (every 3 months) beyond bearable.I highly recommend Market Common Dentistry--for their skill, long-term care plans, and comfort during treatments. This office has the nicest, best staff I’ve ever met out of ANY dental office I’ve ever been to (and that’s easily been 20-30 offices). I am a huge baby about getting dental procedures done, and I am also very stubborn, after years of having a full mouth of metal braces as a child, I would call my previous visits to a dental office "traumatic". If I could give this place 10 stars instead of 5, I would, I went in for an extraction, and bone graft placement for an implant later on, and the procedure ended up being less painful than some teeth cleanings I have had at other area dentists. Not to mention, this is a full service office, not a place that just collects on insurance by overcharging for standard Xrays, and teeth cleanings, only to have to shepherd you off to other offices for things like root canals, crowns and other in depth procedures. The whole staff was also super polite and charismatic, not to mention they were able to make room to get me in as a new client and perform the surgery same day, alleviating me of some very intense toothpain. I had a list of 6 highly rated offices, and this place was number 4 on my list, no one would see me before Wednesday, they got me in and out in 3 or so hours between wait time, exam, surgery and paperwork. Mine has been a long journey with Dr. Mills 3 years so far I started my journey with implants in PA when I moved here in 2017 it took a while for me to find a dentist. Everyone in this office was very friendly and attentive. Hygienist Becky was absolutely wonderful. She was personable, knowledgeable and gentle in her cleaning procedure. When I arrived, they had me wait in my car and then came out and provided me with a mask and hand sanitizer and did a few quick screening questions to ensure I was feeling well. All staff had masks on and my hygentist had both a mask and face shield. I felt 100% comfortable and confident that all necessary steps had been taken (and a few extra ones) to ensure that my safety was a priority and to ensure a comforable appointment. More

Christine, my hygienist came out to my car to ask me a few questions and take my temperature which was 100.7, I thought I was going to be turned away however Christine said come inside your temp may come down inside. By the time I went inside my temperature down to 97.5 and my checkup went well. BTW, when Dr Mills came in to look me over, I told him I learned something today and told him the temp story. Until finding Market Common Dentistry, I had experienced horrible visits at the dentist, which made me very nervous and anxious about going to the dentist, so I did not go to the dentist, and let my teeth and mouth deteriorate to the point where I had to do something about restoring my smile, and get it healthy again. Dr Mills and the staff at Market Common Dentistry have been so understanding of my fears, and have always made my experiences comfortable, with little or no discomfort - even when I had most of my teeth removed, and four impacted molars dug out. I've had bad teeth all my life, so going to the dentist was never a pleasant occasion for me. So I was very nervous when I finally gave in and got some major work done. They treated me with respect and understanding of my nervousness. Two surgeries done and almost no complications make me a very happy man. Had 3 wisdom teeth pulled. Waited 43 years and decided better now than later. Ive always felt comfortable with Dr.Mills so I decided to let him have at it. I was a nervous wreak but before I knew it I was on my way home. Of course I decided to be knocked out during the procedure (worth it). I had complications with the healing in a lower (which was impacted). For at least 8 days life sucked but long story short the staff was concerned everyday even getting me in immediately to make sure I was going to live lol. 3 visits in 8 days and Dr. mills even said come back every day if needed. I love that about the Doc. He’s got a good since of humor which makes u feel better anyway. Just keep in mind knowbody knows the exact science to healing the body. Be prepared for the worst but expect the best when extracting wisdom teeth. As much as we all hate the dentist I can say I’m comfortable letting Dr. Mills take a little bit of my wisdom. More

I made my first visit to Market Common Dentistry on July 3, 2018. I am very anxious when it comes to dental work.  I needed to find a dentist that was willing to help me get through the anxiety of dental work and I believe I found it.When I first arrived I was greeted my a pleasant office atmosphere and the girls at the front desk were so kind and warm.  The first technician I met was Rhonda.  She took all my x rays and asked lots of questions, which I found re-assuring.  Waiting to have my teeth cleaned Dr. Mills stopped in to greet me.  I was impressed.Then I met my hygienist, Becky.  She was so kind and careful to make sure I was comfortable while she cleaned by teeth.  I have been in a lot of dental offices in the past and was impressed how technologically advanced their office is.  This proved to be true by how quickly my teeth were cleaned and how efficient the process was.Dr. Mills is full of humor and knowledge.  His words to me were "you are in the drivers seat." Normally I go back to NJ to my dentist because I have a lot of trust in him. I knew I should seek a dentist in Myrtle Beach but get on postponing it. However, on Friday 4/20 I woke up with a toothache I knew would get a lot worse if I didn't have it treated. Research DR Mills and heard good things about him but I knew it would take a miracle to get me in on short notice. Lisa ( my heroine) did the impossible and got me in the same day. Unfortunately the tooth had to be extracted and I was scared. Everything was explained to me and the extraction was done today 5 hours ago. Just a minor issue but needed a check on a bridge that I thought might be coming loose. They got me in right away and dr. sexton was reassuring after a check that things seemed to be okay. He suggested I try to  couple of gummy bears and see if it comes out. He is hilarious and a good dentist. He is leaving the practice as he lives in Mt. PLeasant and much too far of travel.
